LG recently introduced its newest lineup of UltraGear OLED gaming monitors set to debut at CES 2024.
A standout feature in this collection is the innovative 32GS95UE, a 32-inch monitor featuring the groundbreaking Dual-Hz technology.
The Dual-Hz technology of the 32GS95UE allows the monitor to seamlessly switch between two distinct modes. In the first mode, the display operates at its native 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) with an impressive maximum refresh rate of 240Hz.
The second mode enables the monitor to run at a lower FullHD resolution (1920 x 1080), but with an outstanding 480Hz refresh rate, maximizing the panel’s capabilities.
Users can effortlessly switch between these modes using a designated hotkey or the joystick located on the monitor.
This flexibility ensures that the system recognizes the display as either a 4K 240Hz or a 1080p 480Hz monitor and adjusts the scaling accordingly.
While the panel’s 480Hz capability is limited to FullHD resolution, aligning with current display standards, this innovative feature offers a remarkable blend of resolution and refresh rate options.
With a DCI-P3 coverage of 98.5%, swift 0.03ms GtG response times, and support for DisplayHDR True Black 400, the 32GS95UE promises vibrant visuals and responsive performance.
The monitor includes dual HDMI 2.1 ports for compatibility with the latest devices.
It’s important to note that the single DisplayPort is rated at 1.4, requiring the use of Display Stream Compression (DSC) to fully utilize the panel’s resolution and refresh rates.
One of the standout features of the 32GS95UE is its integrated speaker system with dual woofers, positioned behind the OLED panel to deliver sound through the front surface—a technology LG refers to as Pixel Sound.
The monitor also supports DTS Virtual:X through its speakers and includes a built-in headphone jack for versatile audio options.
In addition to the 32GS95UE, LG has introduced five other OLED monitors to cater to diverse preferences.
These include 34-inch and 39-inch models, 34GS95QE and 39GS95QE, featuring curved 3440 x 1440 panels with a high 240Hz refresh rate and immersive 800R curvature. Additional models include the 45GS95QE and the 45GS96QB, both 45-inch 3440 x 1440 curved OLED monitors, with the latter featuring built-in speakers and USB-C 65W charging support. Lastly, there’s the 27GS95QE, a 27-inch 2560 x 1440 flat panel with a 240Hz refresh rate.
Details regarding pricing and availability for these cutting-edge monitors are expected to be revealed during or after CES.
