Grace Hospitality and Artisan Coffee Roster have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 19 August 2026, sealing a strategic partnership that will embed specialty‑grade coffee offerings across the hotel chain’s expanding portfolio of properties throughout Pakistan. The agreement, formalised by Grace Hospitality’s chief executive Muhammad Ismail, authorises the use of Artisan Coffee Roaster’s high‑performance roasting equipment and a curated selection of bean blends in the group’s hotels and resorts.

The collaboration comes as Grace Hospitality, which currently operates more than a dozen boutique hotels and luxury resorts in major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and the northern tourist belt, seeks to differentiate its guest experience through premium food‑and‑beverage concepts. By integrating Artisan’s artisanal coffee line‑up, the chain aims to transform its lobby cafés, in‑room coffee stations and conference‑center refreshment zones into destinations for coffee enthusiasts, mirroring a global trend toward boutique coffee culture in upscale lodging.

Artisan Coffee Roaster, a Lahore‑based specialist founded in 2022, has quickly built a reputation for sourcing single‑origin beans from high‑altitude farms in the Hazara and Swat regions and for employing state‑of‑the‑art roasting technology that preserves nuanced flavor profiles. The MoU grants Grace Hospitality exclusive rights to install Artisan’s proprietary roasters on‑site and to feature a rotating menu of signature blends that reflect regional terroir, thereby offering travelers an authentic taste of Pakistan’s emerging coffee scene.

Industry analysts note that the partnership signals a shift in the domestic hospitality market, where hotels are increasingly competing on culinary experiences rather than solely on accommodation standards. “Pakistani travellers, especially the younger, internationally‑exposed segment, are demanding coffee quality comparable to global brands,” said a senior consultant at a local market‑research firm. “By aligning with a home‑grown roaster, Grace not only elevates its service offering but also supports the local supply chain, from growers to processors.”

The initiative is also expected to generate ancillary benefits for coffee farmers in the northern provinces, whose yields have historically been directed toward tea production. With Artisan’s planned expansion of roasting capacity to meet hotel demand, growers anticipate higher farm‑gate prices and greater market visibility. Moreover, the partnership could encourage other hotel operators to explore similar collaborations, potentially catalysing a broader upgrade of Pakistan’s café culture within the tourism sector.

Implementation is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2027, starting with Grace Hospitality’s flagship properties in Karachi’s Clifton district and the Murree Hills resort. Guests will soon be able to order handcrafted espresso drinks, pour‑over brews and cold‑brew specials prepared by baristas trained under Artisan’s certification program, marking the first large‑scale rollout of specialty coffee experiences in Pakistani hotels.
