The approval, granted by the Gulf Standardization Organization, confirms that GTR’s products meet the stringent safety, performance and quality benchmarks required by the region’s automotive industry.
GTR, a flagship of the Ghandhara Group, has been a mainstay of Pakistan’s tyre manufacturing sector since the 1970s. The company produces a broad range of passenger‑car, light‑truck and commercial‑vehicle tyres, and has steadily expanded its export footprint over the past decade. The new certification marks the first time a Pakistani tyre maker has been cleared to supply the Gulf’s demanding markets, which are known for their harsh desert climates and high safety expectations.
The certification process involved rigorous testing of GTR’s tyre batches against GCC standards for tread life, grip, and durability, as well as a comprehensive audit of the company’s quality management system.
