What happened?
Reckitt Pakistan announced the launch of its flagship social‑impact programme, Saaf Sehatmand Pakistan, in collaboration with the Aga Khan Foundation. The two organisations signed a formal agreement to roll out community‑level interventions aimed at improving hygiene, nutrition and disease prevention across underserved regions of the country.
Why does it matter?
Pakistan continues to face challenges in accessing clean water and basic health services, especially in remote and low‑income areas. By combining Reckitt’s expertise in health‑care products with the Aga Khan Foundation’s extensive grassroots network, the initiative promises to reach millions of households with affordable hygiene solutions and health education, supporting national goals for reduced child mortality and better public health outcomes.
What happens next?
The partnership will begin with pilot projects in selected districts of Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where local volunteers will distribute sanitisation kits, conduct nutrition workshops and promote preventive health behaviours. Progress will be monitored through joint impact assessments, and successful models are slated for scaling to additional provinces over the coming year.
